Yes...we have booked Jam Factory for Friday 20th March...and it promises to be an interesting and unusual gig. This 20-odd piece jazz orchestra from Darwen operate in an almost Fusion Friday territory with a globe-trotting repertoire. They are lead by Richard Ormrod of Chumbawamba fame...so letting them say it in their own words:
"On a whistle-stop musical tour of the globe, the 20-piece Jam Factory from Blackburn touches down in Jamaica, India, Brazil, Cuba, South Africa, Ethiopia, The Balkans, Japan, Trinidad and New York to sample the finest sounds around and deliver them in their own inimitable way; world rhythms with jazz vocabulary, improvisation and celebration. Jouvert!"
Looking forward to this one...get there early...with that size of band, there won't be much room for the audience!
Upstairs at Mojo's. Only £3 entry.
